Odessa Scherer

Hi, I’m Odessa Scherer. I started working at Gingerbread House Daycare after graduating High School in 1995. During my tenure, I have worked with all age group. I earned my CDA in Preschool. Currently, I am Director and Lead preschool teacher. My passion is being outdoors with my classroom and teaching them gardening.

Marie Siders

Hello, I’m Marie Siders. I have worked at Gingerbread House Daycare since 2003. I completed my CDA in the Infant/Toddler area and I am currently the Lead
infant teacher.

I love working with facts because I get joy out of watching their reactions and
faces light up when they learn new things.

Summer Siders

Hi I’m Summer Siders. I started at Gingerbread House as a intern student. After graduating High School in 2021 I decided to start a career in daycare. I am currently the assistant preschool teacher. I will earn my CDA in the spring of 2024. My biggest joy is watching preschoolers problem solve and pretend play.

Junia Clark

Hi, I’m Junia Clark. I’ve worked in childcare for 10 years. I joined Gingerbread House Daycare in 2021. I have a bachelor’s degree in English. I also have an infant/toddler CDA. My current role is Administrator and and lead toddler teacher.

I enjoy helping toddlers gain a sense of independence and watching them thrive with the knowledge they’ve gained.

Education

Infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children all follow a schedule suited to their age and needs.

These schedules include snacks, stories, songs, outdoor and indoor play, sensory and motor learning, various educational activities and more!

Dedicated Teachers

All staff are trained in CPR, first-aid, and common diseases.

All lead teachers have CDAs.

Gingerbread House Daycare has excellent staff retention with staff being employed for over 20 years.

Family retention is something Gingerbread House Daycare takes pride in.

We take pride in having cared for children who have grown through the program, became adults and brought their children to us for care!
